TIBET
Next pictures are from my trip from Lhasa, Tibet to Kathmandu, Nepal on a land cruiser with Jaap, Laurens & our great driver Denver, it was a 5 day trip, awsome!! The Himalayan range behind me

Going from the monastery where we spent the night to the Everest basecamp on a ponny!!, took 1 hour to get there
Entrance to the Everest basecamp ( Mt. Qomolangma in Tibetan ) 5200 mts above sea level
Me & Mt.Everest behind
This Yak kept me away from my backpack ( right next to him) for 20 min!!
Jaap & Laurens, great guys!!

Yamdrok-tso lake close to Lhasa
On the way to Shigatse...
This woman belongs to the Goloks tribe, they are nomads & peaceful people, they braid their hair & carry many turquoise jewerly...
A remote village on the way to Everest basecamp in the middle of just arid land, which makes me realize how hard life must be for this people, and what amazes me the most is that inspite all their circumstances, people of this villages will leave anything their are doing just to wave their hands at you and give you a smile
They really get along!!
It's imposible not to be touched by this kid...

Main entrance to the Jokhang temple, Lhasa, Tibet
A typical Tibetan woman following the Kora line around the Potala Palace and saying the Tibetan praying or Mantra ( Om mani pedme hum ) again & again as her praying wheel spins clockwise...

Pilgrims praying around the Potala Palace, there are some things that can't be hidden... and it is what this pilgrims carry in their hearts... we all know... everybody knows...just none talks about it...

My favourite Monk...
A get together for discussing sacred themes
Gellukpas ( yellow hat monks ) at a chanting meeting

Here with a young Monk, as long as you don't look into their peaceful, deep eyes, this would only be a memorable experience, but if you fell into that deep look of them... this becomes the experience of your life cause you can easily be profoundly touch by Tibetan people & Monks, because of their so pure being and very high spirituallity, as for me... I was very deeply touched by this people & this place, that changed me & will remain in my soul...
This is where the Monks live, actually a very small part, cause is a huge monastery
Tibetan Monks meeting for praying and chanting
Sera Monastery, one of the biggest & most important Monasteries in Tibet, I spent 1 day, & could've been more if it wasn't because they kicked me out!! or closed for strangers...

The Kora line that runs all around the Potala Palace, Monks & Pilgrims follow it turning each of them clockwise, it takes about 2 hours to complete the line and they do it everyday.
The great Potala palace house of first Dalai Lamas, Lhasa, Tibet
Here with Laurens & Jaap at the Potala palace, Lhasa, Tibet ( the beggining of a great adventure together!! )
I love this Tibetan boy!!
